Why we believe, what we believe---
Acts Chapter 9: starts out with a man as a non- believer ( A PHARISEE) but while he was on his way to Damascus his entire world view and belief system was changed from darkness to light, and by the time he arrived he was a new creature (creation) 2 Corinthians 5: 17 because everyone has a past and because our new birth in God through our encounter with Jesus Christ has caused our belief to change for the better, that's why we as a body believe the impossible.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutes: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house: and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, seen Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightiest received thy sight, and be filled with Holy Ghost. 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. 19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. 20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
2 Corinthians 5: 17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: Behold, all things are become new.
Our mission is to go into all the world and fulfill the great commission, to preach, teach, and baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, make disciples of all nations, and to rest in the blessed hope of eternal life, in our new mansion once our work is done here on earth.
ST. JOHN 14: 1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me, in my Father's house are many mansions: if it we're not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also.
